About the position

The Seasonal Business Tax Expert at Intuit is responsible for providing expert guidance and tax preparation services to customers, particularly focusing on business tax returns for Partnerships and S Corporations. This role involves utilizing TurboTax Live Business to assist clients in completing their taxes while ensuring compliance with federal and state tax laws. The position is customer-facing and requires strong communication skills, as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced virtual environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert guidance and tax preparation for business tax returns.
• Manage complex business tax returns for Partnerships and S Corporations.
• Assist TurboTax Business customers with tax advice and full-service business return preparation.
• Utilize video communication tools to interact with customers professionally.
• Document customer interactions and ensure high-quality customer experiences.
• Participate in pilot testing and projects as needed.

Requirements

• 3 or more years of recent experience preparing federal and state business tax returns (1065 and/or 1120-S) for at least 20 clients per season.
• Active unrestricted credential: EA (Enrolled Agent), CPA (Certified Public Accountant), or Practicing Attorney.
• Minimum of 2 seasons of personal tax preparation experience, with at least 30 tax returns per year.
• Strong knowledge of federal and state tax laws and regulations.
• Proficient with technology and computer operations.
• Strong customer service skills and excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Bookkeeping experience with books to tax preparation.
• Experience preparing business tax returns for service industry customers.
