About the position

The Seasonal Business Tax Associate at Intuit is responsible for providing expert guidance and tax preparation services to customers, particularly focusing on business tax returns for Partnerships and S Corporations. This role involves managing complex tax returns, utilizing TurboTax Live Business, and ensuring compliance with federal and state tax laws. The associate will engage with customers through video communications, offering tax advice and support throughout the tax season.

Responsibilities

• Manage complex business tax returns for Partnerships and S Corporations.
• Provide expert guidance and explanations of tax and technical terms to customers.
• Assist TurboTax Business customers with tax advice and full-service business return preparation.
• Utilize video communications software to interact with customers professionally.
• Document customer interactions and ensure high-quality customer experiences.
• Work towards meeting company key performance metrics and goals.

Requirements

• Strong business tax preparation experience with at least 3 years of recent experience preparing federal and state business tax returns (1065 and/or 1120-S).
• Experience preparing a minimum of 30 personal tax returns per tax year in a tax practice or retail setting.
• Commit to a minimum schedule of at least 20 hours/week throughout the tax season.
• Bookkeeping experience with books to tax preparation is preferred.
• Possess or be able to obtain any related state licenses, certificates, permits, or bonds.
• Active Preparer Tax Identification Number (PTIN) required.
• Working knowledge of Circular 230.
• Proficient with technology and solid knowledge of computer operations and software.
• Strong customer service skills and excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience preparing Business Tax returns for service industry customers.
• Minimum of 2 seasons of personal Tax Preparation experience.
