About the position
The Seasonal Asset Protection Coordinator at Nordstrom is responsible for supporting loss prevention, safety, and security initiatives to safeguard company assets, including property, equipment, merchandise, and employees. This role involves interacting with building personnel, monitoring alarms, and ensuring a secure environment for both staff and guests.
Responsibilities
- Greet and interact with building personnel in a professional manner.
- Respond urgently to incidents related to loss prevention, safety, and security.
- Serve as a liaison between guests and warehouse staff, confirming appointments when applicable.
- Log information on trucks entering or leaving the building and communicate with the receiving department.
- Monitor building/fire alarms and ensure proper response or dispatching.
- Answer incoming calls and transfer them to appropriate extensions.
- Operate electronic walk-through and hand-held metal detectors as needed.
Requirements
- High quality organizational skills.
- Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize work.
- Ability to remain calm when dealing with safety issues, including aggressive behavior.
