About the position

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Seamstress to join our team at Gorski Group LLC. The ideal candidate will have a passion for fashion and a strong understanding of fur, leather, and outerwear garment construction. This role involves working with various fabrics and sewing techniques to create high-quality garments while ensuring customer satisfaction through excellent service.

Responsibilities

• Operate sewing machines and other equipment to construct outerwear garments according to specifications.
• Perform alterations and repairs on garments as needed, ensuring a perfect fit for customers.
• Collaborate with associates to understand garment requirements and provide input on construction techniques.
• Maintain an organized workspace, ensuring all tools and materials are readily available.
• Provide exceptional customer service by assisting clients with their garment needs and preferences.
• Utilize basic math skills for measurements, fabric calculations, and adjustments.

Requirements

• Proven experience in alterations.
• Ability to complete alterations such as shortening sleeve length, adjusting garments fit, and replacing garments linings.
• Proficiency in operating sewing machines and understanding various sewing techniques.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to produce high-quality work consistently.
• Basic math skills for accurate measurements and calculations.
• Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with clients.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• A passion for fashion and a desire to contribute creatively to the team's success.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience altering fur and shearling garments is preferred.
• Customer service experience of 1 year.
