About the position

The Seafood Clerk position at Don Quijote involves providing exceptional customer service while handling and selling high-quality seafood products. The role requires a passion for food, attention to detail, and adherence to food safety standards, ensuring customers receive the best products and service possible.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and package various seafood products for display and sale
• Assist customers in selecting seafood products and provide information on cooking methods and recipes
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the seafood department
• Receive, inspect, and store seafood deliveries in compliance with food safety standards
• Use knives and other tools to cut, trim, and fillet seafood products
• Ensure proper labeling and pricing of seafood items
• Monitor inventory levels and place orders for seafood supplies as needed

Requirements

• Previous experience in food production, food preparation, or culinary roles is preferred
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage with customers in a friendly manner
• Knowledge of cutting techniques is a plus
• Familiarity with food handling procedures and food safety regulations
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
