About The Position

Peraton is seeking a Scrum Master to join our team of qualified and diverse individuals on our Department of State (DOS) Bureau of Diplomatic Technology (DT) Consular Affairs Enterprise Infrastructure Operations (CAEIO) Program. CAEIO provides IT Operations and Maintenance to modernize the legacy networks, applications, and databases supporting consular applications and services globally. The Scrum Master will support the growth and transformation of Agile methodologies across a large portfolio of projects. This role leverages Agile expertise to apply best practices across multiple teams and the program while managing workflow, creatively solving problems, tracking work items, and identifying continuous process improvement opportunities to mature the program.

Requirements

  • U.S. citizenship and an active SECRET Government Security Clearance.
  • Experience working in project management for software development, database management, infrastructure, or network environment projects.
  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and tools (Product Management, Kanban, Scrum, hybrid frameworks, and Jira) and experience managing Agile delivery teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute governance structures, reports/dashboards, performance management tools, and knowledge sharing tools (e.g., Power BI, SharePoint, Confluence).
  • Excellent communications, leadership, and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence technical and executive leaders.
  • Experience providing operational task support in a highly demanding environment.
  • Ability to apply industry standards and best practices for operational excellence.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience leading high visibility projects within a federal contracting or IT modernization environment.
  • PMP and/or Agile certifications (PMI-ACP, SAFe, or CSM).
  • ITIL v4 Foundation.

Responsibilities

  • Manage, support, and coach teams in Agile frameworks, methodologies, principles, and practices to deliver high quality products and services to a Federal customer with global reach.
  • Schedule, prepare for, and facilitate Agile ceremonies as needed.
  • Participate in meetings to ensure cross-team collaboration and delivery/deployment of products and services.
  • Support and guide the entire program to higher levels of Agile maturity.
  • Assess customer requirements, objectives, and priorities to better inform and guide Agile practices.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders, internal operations and engineering teams to drive decisions that support organizational goals.
  • Help teams manage backlog, document acceptance criteria, assess scope, and rank and prioritize work items.
  • Identify and track dependencies both to and from the program, and collaborate with other teams on action items.
  • Help teams and product owners update task tracking tools (Jira, Confluence, SharePoint).
  • Review and audit task tracking tools to ensure they adhere to Agile practices and processes.
  • Collaborate with Program Management Office (PMO) Team to ensure guidance, processes, and training materials are current/updated.
  • Develop comprehensive, executive-level dashboards that provide essential Agile information to program leadership.
  • Identify impediments to, and improvements for, long-term Agile success by promoting transparency, communication, and escalating issues or blockers.
