Requirements

  • Basic math skills to add, subtract, multiply, divide and calculate simple percentages.
  • Be able to add and subtract decimal values.
  • Basic Math test will be required.
  • Ability to stand on hard surfaces for extended periods while performing functions of the job.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; reach overhead with hands and arms; grasp; stoop; kneel; and/or crouch.
  • Must meet job standards for visual ability, speaking, and hearing in a manufacturing environment.
  • Employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 35 pounds.
  • Must be willing/able to wear the required safety glasses for machining department (if you require prescription safety glasses, may require eye exam with related personal expense).
  • High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
  • Individuals with temporary visas such as E, F-1 with OPT or CPT, H-1, H-2, L-1, B, J or TN, or who need sponsorship for work authorization now or in the future, are not eligible for hire.

Responsibilities

  • Sets up and operates numerical control (CNC) machines to fabricate metallic parts.
  • Assists with setups on CNC equipment, while maintaining 5S and all quality work standards.
  • Initiates and monitors SPC Watching the line for bottlenecks/ machine problems, contacting MS as needed.
  • Assists in troubleshooting production problems.
  • Assists in the training of new team members, while maintaining continuous improvement of company safety practices.
  • Assists in meeting/exceeding conversion costs, production schedules and quality goals.
  • Helping with whatever is necessary to keep the line running, through breaks and lunch periods with safety as a primary concern.
  • Other duties, as directed.
