About the position
The Scientist/Engineer Level 3 position at Bevilacqua Research Corporation involves providing expert engineering advice and assistance as an Information System Security Officer (ISSO) for the 412 Test Wing Electronic Warfare Group Joint Simulation Environment (JSE). The role requires a strong background in systems engineering, information assurance, and project management, with a focus on managing Special Access Programs and ensuring compliance with security regulations.
Responsibilities
- Serve as an Information System Security Officer (ISSO) for the 412 Test Wing Electronic Warfare Group Joint Simulation Environment.
- Provide electronic warfare and systems engineering support for the JSE project.
- Oversee the efforts of less senior staff and be responsible for the JSE project team.
- Provide strategic advice and technical guidance to project leadership and staff.
- Obtain and maintain DOD security + certification as a condition of employment.
- Write system security plans, certification and accreditation packages, and test plans.
- Evaluate and implement multi-operating level Automated Information Systems (AIS) security requirements.
- Conduct fact-finding studies and surveys to support acquisition strategies for JSE stakeholders.
- Provide Systems Engineering support in areas such as requirements definition, technical documentation, and project management.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of related experience required.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- 5 years of DoD experience.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Ability to obtain an active U.S. TOP SECRET security clearance.
Nice-to-haves
- Knowledge of Risk Management Framework (RMF) technical writing and project management.
- Experience with Government approved software tools for security control testing.
- Ability to work flexible hours and respond on short notice.
