About the position

Under the supervision of the site administrator, this position provides an educational program for students that encompasses basic skills and motivates students to develop the skills, attitude, and knowledge needed for a solid educational foundation. The educator will prepare students by using information about individual students' academic strengths, needs, and progress in planning. The role involves providing academic services to engage students in work aligned with the California Common Core Standards, utilizing resources that promote high levels of learning and student engagement, and following established policies and procedures for reporting incidents such as child abuse, bullying, harassment, and violence.

Responsibilities

• Provide an educational program for students that encompasses basic skills.
• Motivate students to develop the skills, attitude, and knowledge needed for a good educational foundation.

• Provide academic service to engage students in work aligned to the California Common Core Standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree plus appropriate coursework to qualify for teaching credential.
• Appropriate CA credential authorizing the teaching of students in middle school science or equivalent with EL authorization.
