About the position

The School Psychologist Intern position at Albion Central School District is designed for individuals in the internship phase of their school psychology program. Under the supervision of a licensed school psychologist, the intern will provide psychological services, including evaluations, counseling, and consultations, to support the social, emotional, and educational needs of students in both regular and special education programs.

Responsibilities

  • Provide psychological services to schools under the supervision of the school psychologist.
  • Administer and interpret psychological assessments of students.
  • Prepare recommendations regarding evaluations and services for students.
  • Consult with teachers, administrators, specialists, agency and district personnel, and parents.
  • Counsel students and coordinate behavior management programs.
  • Provide psycho-educational assessments for districts and participate in IEP meetings.
  • Interpret psycho-educational assessment results and develop student goals and objectives.
  • Facilitate IEP meetings as required.
  • Provide written reports analyzing and summarizing test results and observations.
  • Act as a liaison between public and private agencies and county programs.
  • Develop, coordinate, and provide training to staff, parents, and agency personnel.
  • Maintain professional competencies and participate in job-related organizations.

Requirements

  • Fingerprint clearance through NYSED TEACH
  • Drug Testing
  • Current TB test
  • Current Physical (less than one year old)
