About the position
We are seeking a passionate and experienced School Psychologist to provide psychological services to K-12 students in Cicero, IL. The role involves conducting assessments, developing intervention strategies, and providing counseling to support students' academic and emotional well-being. Responsibilities
- Conduct psychological assessments and evaluations to identify students' needs.
- Develop and implement intervention strategies for academic, emotional, and behavioral challenges.
- Provide individual and group counseling to students, addressing mental health and emotional issues.
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and contribute to student goal-setting.
- Work closely with teachers, parents, and administrators to support student development.
- Monitor student progress and adjust interventions as necessary.
- Provide crisis intervention and support for students experiencing emotional distress.
- Assist in the development of school-wide programs to promote positive mental health.
Requirements
- Master's Degree in School Psychology or related field.
- Active Illinois School Psychologist certification.
- Experience working with K-12 students in a school setting.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively with a diverse student population.
