About the position
The School Plus Assistant position is an entry-level role focused on supporting the Site Coordinator in planning and executing daily activities for children aged 5-13. The role emphasizes physical, social, educational, and emotional development, while also ensuring a positive relationship with parents, staff, and children. Regular reporting to the Site and District Coordinator is required to monitor the program's status.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Site Coordinator in planning and carrying out daily activities for groups of children.
- Supervise and direct activities planned by the Site Coordinator.
- Relate positively with parents, staff, and children.
- Regularly report to the Site and District Coordinator concerning the status of the program.
Requirements
- Experience working with children ages 5-13 through scouting, babysitting, church youth groups, or formal coursework.
- CPR First Aid certified or willing to become certified.
- Ability to supervise, manage, and assist school-aged students.
