About The Position
The Hawaii State Department of Education is committed to hiring highly qualified teachers in every classroom. This position is for a School Counselor at Maui Waena Intermediate, serving grades 6-8. The department requires a minimum of a Bachelor's Degree for this role. If hired without completing a Teacher's Education Program, employees have a maximum of 3 years to obtain a valid Hawaii teaching license and must enroll in a program to continue employment. Active pursuit towards meeting Hawaii licensing requirements must be demonstrated annually. Upon hire, a valid Hawaii teaching license or Emergency Hire Permit is necessary.
Requirements
