About the position

The School Bus Driver position at Easterseals NH & VT involves providing safe transportation for children with disabilities and/or special needs. Drivers will work closely with a monitor to supervise passengers and ensure their well-being during transit. The role includes receiving paid training to obtain a School Bus Certificate and conducting pre-trip and post-trip vehicle checks. This is a full-time position during the school year, with opportunities for summer school driving as well.

Responsibilities

• Transport children with disabilities and/or special needs safely to and from school.
• Supervise and interact with passengers during transit.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Complete necessary training to obtain a School Bus Certificate.
• Adhere to scheduled bus routes and timings.

Requirements

• High School Diploma, GED, or related experience.
• Ability to obtain a School Bus Certificate (paid training provided).
• Valid NH driver's license with a good driving record.
• Favorable background check and DOE check.
• Pass drug testing and Department of Transportation physical.

Nice-to-haves

• CDL certification (preferred for higher starting pay).
