About the position
The School Bus Driver for Activities & Field Trips at Auburn-Washburn USD #437 is responsible for providing safe and efficient transportation for students participating in the district's curriculum and extracurricular programs. This role is essential in ensuring that students can fully benefit from their educational experiences, particularly during athletic and activity events. The position is as-needed, with hours varying throughout the school year, and requires a commitment to student safety and well-being.
Responsibilities
- Provide safe and efficient transportation for students to and from school activities and field trips.
- Ensure the bus is in good working condition and report any maintenance issues.
- Follow all traffic laws and safety regulations while driving.
- Assist students in boarding and disembarking the bus safely.
- Maintain a positive and professional demeanor while interacting with students and staff.
Requirements
- Valid mid-level CDL with passenger (P) and school bus (S) endorsements.
- Previous bus driving experience preferred.
- Ability to work flexible hours as needed throughout the school year.
