About the position

The Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) position is a part-time role focused on providing behavioral support to students in an educational setting. The BCBA will conduct assessments, develop intervention plans, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to enhance student learning and behavior management.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct functional behavior assessments to identify the underlying causes of problematic behaviors.
  • Develop and implement individualized behavior intervention plans (BIPs) that align with each student's educational goals and needs.
  • Provide direct services to students, including one-on-one support and group interventions.
  • Monitor student progress through data collection, analyze results, and adjust interventions as needed.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of educators, counselors, administrators, and parents to create a positive learning environment.
  • Participate in IEP (Individualized Education Program) meetings and contribute behavior analysis expertise to student planning.

Requirements

  • VA Board Certification in Behavior Analysis (BCBA) required.
  • Master's degree in Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Education, or a related field.
  • Minimum 1+ years Behavior Specialist experience required.
  • Previous experience working in a school or educational setting preferred.
