About the position

The School Based Clinician will provide high-quality mental health services, including counseling and case management, to individuals with varying needs, particularly those with autism and developmental disabilities. This role emphasizes collaboration with clients and their families to promote overall well-being through evidence-based therapeutic practices.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing evidence-based practices in mental health counseling and psychotherapy.
• Implement case management strategies to coordinate care and support for clients, ensuring access to necessary resources.
• Maintain accurate and confidential client records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including social workers and other healthcare professionals, to enhance client care.
• Offer Christian counseling as requested by clients, integrating faith-based approaches into therapeutic practices.
• Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in mental health treatment and case management.
• Advocate for clients with disabilities or developmental disabilities, ensuring their rights and needs are met within the community.

Requirements

• Valid licensure as a clinician (LSW, LPC, or equivalent) is preferred.
• Experience in case management and mental health counseling is essential; experience with applied behavior analysis is a plus.
• Familiarity with working with individuals on the autism spectrum and those with developmental disabilities is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining client confidentiality.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, along with strong interpersonal skills for effective client interaction.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team environment.
