About the position

The School Age Associate Teacher at Catalyst Family Inc. is responsible for supporting the planning and implementation of educational programming for children ranging from infants to school-age. This role involves creating and maintaining a safe, healthy, and engaging learning environment, facilitating age-appropriate activities, and fostering children's social-emotional development. The teacher will work collaboratively with staff and families to ensure high-quality educational experiences.

Responsibilities

• Create and implement developmentally appropriate curriculum connected to children's interests.
• Maintain intentional, enriched, and supportive learning environments for all children.
• Provide excellent customer service and establish authentic connections with children, families, and the community.
• Ensure proper supervision and positive interactions to keep children healthy and safe.
• Collaborate with fellow staff to provide high-quality programs and creative workplaces.

Requirements

• 12-24 postsecondary semester or equivalent quarter units in Early Childhood Education (ECE), Child Development (CD), or related field with passing grades of C- or better.
• 6-12 months of experience in a group care environment with a consistent age group is preferred.
• Current adult and infant/child CPR & First Aid certification is preferred.
• Effective problem solving, conflict resolution, and classroom management skills.
