About the position
The Scheduler for Outpatient Cardiology at Piedmont Healthcare plays a crucial role in supporting patient access by serving as a greeter, operator, or general scheduler. This position is responsible for creating a positive first impression of the practice by effectively greeting customers and answering the main telephone line. The Scheduler will triage calls, schedule clinic appointments, and provide coverage for other front office positions as needed, all while demonstrating outstanding customer service.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a greeter and operator for the practice location.
- Answer the main telephone line and provide a positive first impression of the practice.
- Address callers' questions immediately and triage calls to the appropriate personnel.
- Schedule clinic appointments and ancillary procedures.
- Provide coverage for other front office positions as requested by the supervisor or manager.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Three years of experience as a customer service representative, scheduler, or closely related position, preferably in the healthcare industry.
Nice-to-haves
- Telephone, scheduling, and physician practice experience preferred.
- EPIC experience is desired.
