About the position

The position is for a 3rd Shift Saw Operator responsible for operating various machines including CNCs, manual machines, and robotic cells under general supervision. The role involves ensuring safety compliance, quality control, and effective operation of equipment to produce high-quality products in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Follow all safety rules and report any safety violations to the supervisor.
• Set up and run saws.
• Unload and pack off ACK I & ACK II.
• Rack and unrack all types of products.
• Run vertical and horizontal CNC machines.
• Run punch press and tap operations.
• Run various robotic cells and perform troubleshooting processes.
• Follow quality control procedures using measuring instruments such as scales, micrometers, and calipers.
• Detect and report any unusual conditions, defective material, or machine malfunctions to Tech A and/or supervisor.
• Work alternate shifts or extended hours as requested.
• Maintain 6S standards.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Six months to one year of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Work experience in a manufacturing environment is desirable.
• Ability to read and understand blueprint specifications.
• Ability to work effectively with tools and equipment.
• Great attention to detail with a goal-driven attitude.
• Strong comprehension and analytical abilities.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with material handling equipment.
• Familiarity with hand tools and measuring equipment.
