About the position

The SAP Plant Maintenance (PM) Consultant at Accenture is responsible for leading and implementing SAP solutions focused on Plant Maintenance within the S/4HANA environment. This role involves engaging with clients to understand their business needs, conducting workshops, and translating requirements into effective SAP solutions. The consultant will also participate in the sales cycle, create functional specifications, and support various testing phases, all while ensuring adherence to Accenture's professional standards. The position requires a blend of technical expertise, project leadership, and strong communication skills to drive successful digital transformation initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Participates in sales cycle activities including scoping, building, and delivering software demonstrations.
  • Leads fit/gap and other types of working sessions to understand needs driven by business process requirements.
  • Translates requirements into solutions using SAP Best Practices or Accenture Solutions as a baseline.
  • Works in conjunction with Accenture project manager to establish the overall plan for their respective workstream.
  • Collaborates with data migration personnel to lead the customer through the data mapping process.
  • Creates functional specifications for development objects.
  • Conducts unit testing on overall solution including technical objects.
  • Supports integration testing and user acceptance testing with customers.
  • Explores new SAP applications as a subject matter expert and may be a first adopter for emerging SAP technologies.
  • Enforces the core competencies and professional standards of Accenture in all client engagements.

Requirements

  • Minimum of three (3) years previous experience implementing Plant Maintenance (PM) in an S/4HANA environment.
  • Minimum of three (3) years experience in all areas of SAP Plant Maintenance (inspection, maintenance, and repair).
  • Minimum five (5) full lifecycle SAP implementations.
  • Minimum one (1) previous global system implementation.
  • Previous experience leading PM Fit Gap workshops.
  • Must have previous experience building trusted partnerships with clients/customers, providing guidance through complex functional and/or technical decisions.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent (minimum 12 years' work experience). If Associate's Degree, must have equivalent minimum 6-year work experience.
