About the position

The SAP ERP Test Lead at Cengage Group is responsible for overseeing the quality assurance and testing processes for SAP S4 Hana Implementation projects. This role involves mentoring QA engineers, ensuring the delivery of high-quality software, and leading testing efforts across multiple workstreams. The position requires hands-on experience in SAP testing and a strong understanding of QA methodologies, with a focus on delivering solutions that are fit for purpose and right the first time.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end QA and testing delivery on SAP S4 Hana Implementation projects.
• Apply standard processes to implement S4 Hana using the SAP Activate methodology.
• Write testing documentation including test strategy, scope, and plans.
• Ensure efficient operation and continuous improvement of testing processes.
• Build and maintain testing libraries to keep them up to date.
• Identify QA needs, constraints, and dependencies during the full SDLC.
• Coordinate QA resources across multiple workstreams and plan testing landmarks for projects.
• Assist in solving QA issues and perform manual test cases, defect logging, and triage.
• Supervise onshore/offshore QA teams and third-party vendors, providing oversight and direction.

Requirements

• 10+ years of relevant software development quality assurance experience.
• At least 6+ years of ERP S4 HANA Testing experience across workstreams.
• Minimum 4+ years of Test lead experience in ERP S4 HANA implementation projects.
• Highly proficient in test documentation and standard SAP processes.
• Strong leadership skills to guide the SAP testing team in comprehensive testing strategies.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Familiarity with Agile methodology and Sprint ceremonies.
• Experience with QA automation implementation.
• Knowledge of Jira and Zephyr for test management.
