About the position

The SAP ERP Test Lead at Cengage Group is responsible for overseeing the quality assurance and testing processes for SAP S4 Hana Implementation projects. This role involves mentoring QA engineers, ensuring the delivery of high-quality software, and leading testing efforts across multiple workstreams. The position requires hands-on experience in SAP testing and a strong understanding of QA methodologies, with a focus on delivering solutions that are fit for purpose and right the first time.

Responsibilities

• Apply standard processes to implement S4 Hana using the Activate methodology.
• Write testing documentation including test strategy, scope, and plans.
• Ensure efficient operation and continuous improvement of testing processes.
• Build and maintain testing libraries to keep them up to date.
• Identify QA needs, constraints, and dependencies during the full SDLC.
• Assist with coordination of QA resources across multiple workstreams.
• Plan and deliver testing landmarks for projects.
• Solve issues in QA or live environments as assigned.
• Identify, design, and assist with QA automation implementation.
• Perform manual test cases, defect logging, and initial defect triage.
• Craft and coordinate technical and user documentation.
• Supervise onshore/offshore QA teams and 3rd party vendors.

Requirements

• 10+ years of relevant software development quality assurance experience.
• 6+ years of ERP S4 HANA Testing experience across workstreams.
• 4+ years of Test lead experience in ERP S4 HANA implementation projects.
• Highly proficient in test documentation and standard SAP processes.
• Strong leadership skills to guide the SAP testing team.
• Experience in generating daily test status reports and handling test data creation.

Nice-to-haves

• Familiarity with Agile methodology and Sprint ceremonies.
• Experience with QA tools such as Jira and Zephyr.
