About The Position

The SAP Internship Experience Program (iXp) is a global, strategic, paid internship program designed to provide university students with opportunities to find purpose in their careers. This internship is more than just a learning experience; it's the foundation for a career built on connection, creativity, and impact. The intern will join the SAP Concur Digital Marketing team, supporting search and social performance marketing across paid search, SEO, and paid social. They will receive hands-on training from channel experts and actively contribute to planning, executing, and optimizing campaigns with measurable impact. Responsibilities include building keyword lists, writing ad copy, researching competitors, and supporting campaign analysis and reporting for paid search. For SEO, the intern will optimize webpages, analyze data, implement content changes, audit pages against best practices, and support key initiatives like go-to-market launches, newsletters, and AI tooling. For paid social, the intern will work on campaigns across LinkedIn, Meta, and Reddit, support Conversion API (CAPI) rollout and server-side measurement, and assist with testing, reporting, and creating decks that translate performance data into clear stories for stakeholders. By the end of the internship, the intern will have contributed to improvements in campaign performance, delivered insightful reporting, and supported strategic projects across PPC, SEO, and paid social, demonstrating ownership of meaningful deliverables within an integrated performance marketing program. The intern will contribute to high-impact initiatives tied directly to performance and pipeline growth, with clear, measurable business outcomes. They will own specific deliverables while supporting broader team projects, with their work informing reporting, strategic recommendations, and decision-making shared with senior leadership. Through hands-on involvement in revenue-driving channels and experimentation, the intern will help shape ongoing marketing strategy while building a strong, practical foundation in performance marketing. The intern will be embedded within a collaborative Digital Discovery and Performance team, working closely with SEO, paid search, and paid social specialists both locally and across global teams. They will have a dedicated manager, along with support from 2–3 teammates who will provide regular check-ins, mentoring, and ongoing learning opportunities. As an active team member, the intern will contribute to real projects, gain exposure to international collaboration, and receive hands-on guidance in a fast-paced, supportive environment. The intern will build foundational skills across key areas of performance marketing, including SEO, content optimization, analytics, ad copy, and website management, using industry tools and platforms. Working within an integrated, cross-channel team, they will gain hands-on experience with real business KPIs and learn how to analyze performance data, generate insights, and contribute to strategic recommendations. Through a mix of on-the-job learning and structured development opportunities, the intern will grow toward confidently planning and independently executing components of marketing campaigns. The role involves being in a fast-paced environment that is rapidly changing, on the frontier of AI in marketing, and working on a globally impactful team.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed studies in Marketing, Business, Communications, Data Analytics or a related field.
  • Must be currently enrolled, or recently graduated (start date must be within 6 months of graduation date) from a coding academy/bootcamp, apprenticeship, associate, bachelor’s, master’s or JD/PhD program.
  • Strong curiosity about how people discover and engage with content online, especially through search.
  • Interest in digital marketing and performance-driven thinking, even without direct hands-on experience.
  • A proactive, growth-oriented mindset: you ask questions, seek feedback, and take initiative when tackling new challenges.
  • Comfort navigating ambiguity and trying new approaches, with a test-and-learn mentality.
  • Experience collaborating in team settings, including working with diverse stakeholders or across time zones (academic, internship, or extracurricular experience counts).
  • Analytical mindset with an actionable Excel skillset, and a willingness to explore data, spot patterns, and translate findings into actionable insights.
  • Comfort creating and presenting findings to teammates and stakeholders.
  • An interest/awareness in how AI is changing the digital marketing landscape.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail.
  • Ability to stay organized, manage multiple tasks, and balance priorities in a fast-paced, distributed team environment.
