About The Position

This is a full-time position for an SAP ABAP Consultant based in Dallas, TX, with the option for remote work. The role involves the development and maintenance of applications using ABAP on HANA, HANA views, AMDP, ODATA, and requires SAP S/4 implementation experience. The consultant will work on logistic modules within the S4 system, including SAP FI, MM, and SD. Key responsibilities include designing, developing, testing, and supporting SAP ABAP programs (RICEF objects), working with Object-Oriented ABAP, ALV Reports, SmartForms, Adobe Forms, and Module Pool programming. The role also involves developing and supporting various interfaces (IDocs, BAPIs, RFCs, OData services, Web Services), performing code reviews, performance tuning, and optimization. Collaboration with functional consultants and business stakeholders is essential for translating business requirements into technical solutions. The consultant will work on S/4HANA developments, participate in full lifecycle project implementations, and troubleshoot production issues, ensuring adherence to SAP development standards and best practices.

Requirements

12+ years in development and maintenance of applications using ABAP on HANA, HANA views, AMDP, ODATA etc.
SAP S/4 implementation experience
Experience in working on logistic modules on S4 system such as SAP FI, MM, SD
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Worked on interfaces (iDOC, BAPI, File)

Responsibilities

Design, develop, test, and support SAP ABAP programs including Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms (RICEF objects).
Work on Object-Oriented ABAP, ALV Reports, SmartForms, Adobe Forms, and Module Pool programming.
Develop and support interfaces such as IDocs, BAPIs, RFCs, OData services, and Web Services.
Perform code reviews, performance tuning, and optimization of ABAP programs.
Collaborate with functional consultants and business stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
Work on S/4HANA developments, including CDS Views, AMDP, and code pushdown techniques.
Participate in full lifecycle project implementations, rollouts, and support engagements.
Troubleshoot production issues and provide timely resolutions.
Ensure adherence to SAP development standards, best practices, and documentation.
Perform regular system checks to ensure optimal performance and identify potential issues.
Collaborate with other SAP professionals to resolve coding issues and optimize performance.
Stay up-to-date with the latest SAP updates and industry trends to ensure developed applications are compatible with evolving technologies.
Modify and enhance existing SAP applications to improve functionality or address user needs.
