Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • Familiar with FDA/USDA regulations and requirements.

Nice To Haves

  • Associates or Bachelor's Degree in Food Science, Microbiology, or related field is preferred.
  • 1 to 3 years of experience in sanitation, food safety, and/or training is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the Sanitation Team.
  • Lead and coordinate daily sanitation operations, ensuring adherence to safety and sanitation protocols.
  • Develop and manage sanitation schedules aligned with production goals, including shutdowns and deep-cleaning events.
  • Verify sanitation chemical concentrations daily, and maintain proper labeling, storage, and inventory of supplies.
  • Manage and improve sanitation SOPs.
  • Perform preoperational inspections, ATP/TPC verification, and regular audits to ensure compliance.
  • Maintain accurate records of sanitation activities, chemical usage, and verification results for audit readiness.
  • Respond to and mitigate issues related to environmental monitoring, ATP/TPC verification, and microbiological deficiencies.
  • Completed required documentation for organic and allergen product transitions, including Pre-Organic, Post-Allergen, and Intensive Cleaning Forms.
  • Maintain audit readiness by reviewing records and assisting with HACCP, SQF, and PCQI compliance. Training or willingness to obtain certifications is expected.
  • Conduct weekly layered audits, address complaints, and implement corrective actions.
  • Adhere to all Lakeside Foods policies and procedures.
