About The Position

This position's basic purpose is to use all available resources to assist the Warehouse to continuous growth and financial success.

Requirements

  • One to two years supervisory experience and/or experience working in a grocery warehouse environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of an organization.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
  • Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Warehouse mobile equipment

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate the job tasks prior to shift start for each sanitation area of responsibility
  • Assign these job tasks to each sanitation employee utilizing the Sanitation Job Task Sheet
  • Conduct a pre-shift meeting with all sanitation employees on a daily basis
  • Inspect, evaluate and critique as needed all assigned job tasks throughout the shift
  • Inspect the facility for areas of missed opportunities or areas of improvement with sanitation and make adjustments as needed to the Sanitation Job Task Sheet.
  • Meet with sanitation employees at the end of last break for any added assignments, reviews or progress updates.
  • Ensure the Sanitation Job Task Sheet is being filled out completely with all completed job tasks, slots deep cleaned, additional assigned tasks with their name and signature on the form.
  • Monitor the sweeper and scrubber employees to ensure full coverage of the overall warehouse on each shift and ensure the progress continues from where the previous shift left off.
  • Monitor the plastics employee to ensure that all plastic is collected, receptacles replaced and baled properly.
  • Monitor the aisles as needed for signs of food safety violations, pest control concerns, and general damage control related to selectors and fork operators.
  • Provide feedback to management on areas of opportunity for keeping the warehouse in an ongoing regulatory inspection state.
  • Monitor all sanitation employee activities to ensure they are always done safely while properly following all company policies and procedures.
