About the position
The Salesforce Developer position at MathWorks involves being part of a collaborative CRM team responsible for delivering a world-class CRM solution for service and marketing. The role focuses on optimizing the Salesforce solution to meet business needs while managing technical complexity, spanning all aspects of the software development lifecycle. The ideal candidate will bring technical skills, a passion for learning, and a team-oriented spirit to contribute to a close-knit agile team.
Responsibilities
- Understand and evaluate business requirements in the context of overall system solutions, including systems outside of Salesforce.
- Develop overall solution design options and recommendations, considering pros and cons.
- Participate in design review meetings and lead the evaluation of technical requirements and options.
- Work with product owners, analysts, and business users to groom stories and participate in agile ceremonies.
- Write comprehensive design specifications including functional specifications and technical design documents.
- Coordinate and negotiate solutions in cross-functional scenarios with multiple parties.
- Configure, administer, and develop within Salesforce using Visualforce, Apex, LWC, API, SOQL, and Flows.
- Stay updated on current and future Salesforce features and industry IT trends, offering suggestions for adoption.
Requirements
- 5+ years professional experience including 2+ years experience administering/solutioning/development with Salesforce.
- 2+ years experience with projects involving relational databases and data modelling.
- Experience with Service Cloud and Sales Cloud.
- Experience with Agile methodologies.
- Ability to learn quickly and work independently.
- Proficiency in SQL and database concepts.
- Experience working with AppExchange.
- Solid organizational skills and creative problem-solving abilities.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with Web Development is a plus.
