About the position

Otis Elevator Company is seeking motivated individuals to join our Sales Trainee program, designed for those looking to kickstart their careers in sales. This comprehensive training program combines classroom instruction with hands-on field experience, allowing trainees to gain valuable insights into the business and industry. Throughout the program, Sales Trainees will have the opportunity to shadow experienced Sales Representatives, Account Managers, Field Supervisors, and Technicians, which will provide them with essential product training and business knowledge. Upon successful completion of the 3-6+ month training program, trainees will transition into a Sales role, managing a portfolio of accounts within a designated geographic territory. Positions are available across North America, and candidates should be flexible regarding location to align with business needs. In this role, you will be responsible for selling Otis products and service upgrades, developing your sales territory through cold calling, and understanding local market conditions and competitor dynamics. You will also identify customer benefits and upgrade opportunities, service existing accounts, and provide technical support. Building and maintaining business relationships is crucial, as is achieving or exceeding planned sales objectives. Additionally, you will be expected to keep your technical knowledge of Otis products up to date, monitor account collections, conduct product quality surveys, and schedule necessary field resources to ensure customer satisfaction. To be successful in this position, candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree or be in the process of obtaining one, with the degree awarded prior to the start date. Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential for developing relationships with both internal and external customers. The ability to thrive in a dynamic environment and manage multiple projects is crucial, and prior sales internship experience is considered advantageous. Responsibilities

Requirements
