About the position
The Sales/Retail Design Consultant at Carpet Weavers is responsible for helping clients realize their home improvement dreams through personalized design consultations. This role emphasizes building long-term relationships with customers and utilizing comprehensive product knowledge to enhance the sales experience. The consultant will work in a retail environment, assisting customers in selecting a wide range of products from flooring to furniture, and will play a key role in maintaining the store's appearance and professionalism.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers in a timely, professional, and personable manner.
- Use product knowledge and selection to provide exceptional service to customers and build sales.
- Build lasting relationships with customers by following up on purchases, suggesting new merchandise, and reminding them of upcoming events.
- Assist in maintaining the appearance of the store in a neat and organized fashion.
- Represent Carpet Weaver's Flooring & Furniture Gallery with professionalism and integrity to ensure customer satisfaction.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years or older.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least 1 year of retail experience.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Nice-to-haves
- Interior Design experience and interest is a plus.
