About the position

The Sales Representative role at Spectrum involves selling telecommunications products and services to customers in assigned multi-dwelling units (MDUs) through door-to-door solicitation and lobby events. The position focuses on enhancing customer experience, meeting sales goals, and generating revenue from both new and existing customers.

Responsibilities

  • Actively support efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience.
  • Meet established objectives related to monthly sales goals and increased sales volume.
  • Solicit residential customers through door-to-door solicitation and lobby events.
  • Generate incremental revenue from existing customers by adding new services.
  • Respond to customer problems and complaints according to company policy.
  • Maintain knowledge of competitors' activities and inform management of changes.
  • Attend and contribute to sales meetings and training programs.
  • Complete necessary paperwork to support sales activities accurately.
  • Collect and account for funds and provide receipts according to company policy.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of cold call sales skills and clear communication skills.
  • Ability to travel to assigned territories using a reliable personal vehicle.
  • Ability to work outside for extended periods in any season.
  • Familiarity with computer operating systems and consumer communications devices.
  • Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent work experience.
  • 0 to 6 months of experience in sales or customer service.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of communications technologies and services, especially data networking fundamentals.
  • Knowledge of cable or telecommunications services.
  • Experience with consumer education of products and services.
  • Success in a previous sales position, prospecting or cold calling.
