About the position
The Sales Representative at Heartland is responsible for selling merchant services to businesses, managing a portfolio of clients, and identifying revenue opportunities. This role involves face-to-face meetings, account management, and maintaining client records in the CRM system. The position requires a proactive approach to sales and a deep understanding of the payments industry.
Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of clients and identify revenue opportunities within assigned territories.
- Conduct face-to-face meetings with prospects to qualify leads and drive them through the sales pipeline.
- Respond to customer requests for information and conduct online presentations.
- Identify and close additional product and service sales with existing clients.
- Maintain client records in the CRM system, including call notes and scheduled interactions.
- Keep management informed of all activity through timely report preparation.
- Continuously build knowledge of current product/service offerings and industry developments.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or relevant experience in sales.
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in B2B sales or cold calling.
