About the position

The Sales Representative at CoStar Group is responsible for driving sales of the company's data and analytics solutions within the commercial real estate sector. This role involves understanding client needs, managing the full sales cycle, and providing product demonstrations to various stakeholders in the real estate market. The representative will also engage in networking and industry events to promote CoStar's offerings and build relationships with clients.

Responsibilities

  • Gain a thorough understanding of clients and their needs.
  • Become an expert in CoStar's critical information and marketing solutions including LoopNet.
  • Complete ownership of the full sales cycle including prospecting, demoing, closing, onboarding, training, and renewing.
  • Conduct high-level in-person client and prospect product demonstrations.
  • Provide valuable insights to all participants in the commercial property market, including Brokers, Owners, Investors, Lenders, Appraisers, and Service Providers.
  • Represent CoStar by hosting and attending industry events and networking with commercial real estate professionals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Client-facing experience in the Commercial Real Estate industry strongly preferred.
  • Two or more years of successful outside sales experience in a B2B environment selling Data, Research and Analytic platforms or tools, commercial real estate, financial services, business intelligence, marketing, or information providers.
  • Proven track record exceeding sales targets and quotas in a consultative sales environment.
  • Two or more years of experience training clients on how to use a solution post-sale.
  • Candidates must possess a current and valid driver's license.
  • Satisfactory completion of a Driving Record/Driving Abstract check prior to start.

Nice-to-haves

  • Regular and consistent access to an operational motor vehicle prior to or by start date.
  • Evidence of strong academic performance in college.
