About the position

ASSA ABLOY is a worldwide leader dedicated to providing a safe, secure, and accessible building environment. Our nationwide team of consultants provide professional consulting and in-field project support services to architectural, construction, and owner/end user clients with the objective of demand generation through promotion and implementation of ASSA ABLOY Openings Studio software platform and related professional services for design, specification, construction project management and facility management. In this role, you can picture yourself as a vital consultant to the architect, contractor, developer and design team. You are given the freedom to navigate your path to achieve success in the market. Your goal will be to drive positive, sustaining relationships with key influencers and to create brand demand through educating, facilitating, and promoting ASSA ABLOY Opening Solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Cultivate consulting relationships with architectural design team influencers and specifiers
  • Identify and secure opportunities to prepare door and hardware specifications
  • Provide timely and accurate product information for use in commercial project specifications
  • Deliver targeted continuing educational programs highlighting new products, solutions, and design-assist professional services
  • Assist with product substitution and approval procedures and follow up to ensure specifications are held in the bid process
  • Utilize Salesforce.com as a customer relationship, project tracking and time management tool

Requirements

  • Self-motivated and organized individual with a passion for brand specific product promotion and specification
  • Strong follow-up habits and driven to satisfy client needs and deliver above expectations
  • Strong communicator, active listener, and negotiator
  • Ability to work independently but believe in teamwork
  • College/University degree (preference for specialization in related curricula such as: architectural design/engineering/drafting, construction science/management, business, or similar)
  • Industry related experience in architectural representation, specification writing, or construction management will be considered in lieu of degree
  • Working knowledge of Autodesk Revit or GRAPHISOFT Archicad is a plus
  • Ability to travel upon request within an assigned territory
  • Ability to perform responsibilities in a home office environment
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs of sample and display material for sale presentations
