Our nationwide team of consultants work closely with architectural professionals advising on the design and specification of door openings. This is accomplished through Openings Studio, our award-winning BIM software used to specify 3D doors, hardware and access control. In this role, you can picture yourself as a vital consultant to the architect and design team. You will be given the freedom to navigate your path to achieve success in the market. Your goal will be to drive positive, sustaining relationships with key influencers and to create brand demand through educating, facilitating, and promoting ASSA ABLOY Opening Solutions. You can expect to be part of a diverse and talented sales team with colleagues dedicated to mutual support and success.

Responsibilities

  • Cultivate consulting relationships with architectural design team influencers and specifiers.
  • Identify and secure opportunities to prepare door and hardware specifications.
  • Provide timely and accurate product information for use in commercial project specifications.
  • Deliver targeted continuing educational programs highlighting new products, solutions, and design-assist professional services.
  • Assist with product substitution and approval procedures and follow up to ensure specifications are held in the bid process.
  • Utilize Salesforce.com as a customer relationship, project tracking and time management tool.

Requirements

  • Self-motivated, organized individual with a passion for brand-specific product promotion and specification.
  • Strong follow-up habits and driven to satisfy client's needs and deliver above expectations.
  • Strong communicator, active listener, and negotiator.
  • Ability to travel upon request within an assigned territory (travel required: up to 30%).
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. of sample and display material for sale presentations.

Nice-to-haves

  • College/University degree (preference for specialization in related curricula such as: architectural, design/engineering/drafting, construction science/management, business, or similar).
  • At least 2-3 years' industry related experience in architectural representation, specification writing, or Design-Build construction management.
  • Working knowledge of Autodesk Revit or GRAPHISOFT Archicad.

Benefits

  • Salary range of $105k - $110k, with a bonus potential and company car.
