About the position

The Sales Representative and Field Trainer position at Summit Insurance is designed for individuals with a competitive mindset, particularly those with a background in athletics. This role involves not only selling supplemental insurance products but also mentoring and training new sales agents. The position emphasizes building relationships with clients, achieving sales goals, and contributing to the growth of the sales team in a dynamic, supportive environment.

Responsibilities

  • Make daily in-person sales calls to small and medium-sized businesses in your territory.
  • Build strong professional relationships and establish trust and rapport with customers.
  • Connect with key decision makers at businesses and schedule appointments for group presentations.
  • Report daily sales stats at the end of each day.
  • Submit work schedule and goals to team leader weekly.
  • Attend business networking events to accumulate new leads and referrals.
  • Re-service existing client accounts periodically and systematically.
  • Enter business client information weekly into CRM.
  • Dedicate part of the week to making sales while training and mentoring new sales agents.

Requirements

  • Valid Life & Health Insurance License (or willingness to obtain with reimbursement).
  • Bachelor's degree or a minimum of 10 years of professional work experience.
  • Strong communication skills for customer and sales staff interactions.
  • Leadership skills and experience in mentorship.
  • Familiarity with effective sales strategies.
  • Ability to train others effectively.
