About The Position

The Sales Project Manager serves as a strategic execution partner to the VP of Sales, translating sales strategy, leadership decisions, and growth initiatives into clear, executable plans with disciplined follow-through and measurable outcomes. This role exists to remove administrative, organizational, and follow-up burden from Sales leadership, ensuring initiatives move from discussion to execution without loss of momentum.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations, Engineering, or related field (MBA preferred)
  • 3–5 years of experience in Sales Operations, Project Management, or a related execution-focused role
  • Proven ability to manage complex, cross-functional projects from planning through execution
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional follow-through and accountability discipline
  • High comfort with technology and execution-oriented tools
  • Advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint for reporting and executive communication
  • Early adopter of AI tools with demonstrated productivity impact
  • Clear, concise communicator with executive-level judgment
  • Self-starter who takes ownership without needing direction
  • Strong stakeholder management, negotiation, and influence skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multi-department environment

Responsibilities

  • Translate high-level discussions into structured execution plans, including defined action items, owners, deadlines, and success criteria.
  • Ensure commitments from leadership and cross-functional meetings are actively driven to completion.
  • Prevent misalignment between strategy, documentation, reporting, and real-world execution.
  • Maintain visibility across initiatives to prevent stalled or abandoned work.
  • Act as right-hand partner to the VP of Sales for revenue growth initiatives, sales strategy and training execution, sales project management, and sales support and allied engineering oversight.
  • Translate growth strategy into practical execution roadmaps.
  • Coordinate with HR, Finance, Operations, and other stakeholders to align timing, resources, and capacity.
  • Ensure action items are clearly assigned, actively tracked, reviewed, escalated if blocked, and closed.
  • Proactively check status with owners rather than waiting for updates.
  • Enforce follow-up discipline across sales leadership meetings, one-on-ones, and cross-functional initiatives.
  • Leverage technology to drive execution—not just documentation.
  • Convert plans and notes into actionable tracking systems with clear visibility.
  • Reduce reliance on email-based follow-ups through structured tools and workflows.
  • Partner with platforms such as NetSuite ERP, sales dashboards, report cards, Microsoft 365 (Copilot, Teams, OneNote, Planner, etc.), and project management tools (e.g., Monday).
  • Champion AI adoption by automating repetitive tasks, summarizing data, accelerating reporting, and embedding AI into sales operations workflows.
  • Stay current on emerging tools and recommend improvements to how the organization operates.
