About The Position

This is a highly visible leadership role with direct impact on company growth. The position is 50% field-based, allowing the manager to coach and lead alongside their team, rather than being desk-bound. The role involves leading both inside and outside B2B sales teams. The company is a stable, family-owned business with over 60 years of success.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Business or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 5+ years of sales experience with a proven track record of revenue growth.
  • 3+ years of sales leadership or team management experience preferred.
  • Proven ability to coach, mentor, and develop high-performing teams.
  • Strong analytical, financial, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with CRM systems and sales reporting tools.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel frequently within Michigan.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach and develop inside and outside sales teams to drive revenue growth.
  • Provide ride-along coaching, training and real-time performance feedback.
  • Foster accountability through clear expectations, metrics and performance management.
  • Adapt leadership approach to motivate team members at all experience levels.
  • Spend ~50% of your time in the field partnering with sales reps across Michigan.
  • Support key accounts, complex deals and strategic customer relationships.
  • Strengthen customer engagement and drive retention and growth.
  • Monitor territory performance, pipeline activity and conversion metrics.
  • Translate sales strategy into daily team execution and territory management.
  • Drive pipeline management, forecasting accuracy and CRM discipline.
  • Improve sales processes to increase efficiency and win rates.
  • Manage commission plans and monitor performance outcomes.
  • Partner with operations and safety teams to ensure customer commitments are delivered effectively.
  • Collaborate on onboarding, issue resolution, and customer experience.
  • Support acquisition integration and expansion into new territories.
