About the position

The Sales Representative position is a field-based role focused on growing revenue and gross profit within the passenger segment facilities. The representative is responsible for managing accounts that generate over $900k in annual revenue, primarily covering the Philadelphia area. This role involves strategic selling, customer engagement, and collaboration with various teams to deliver comprehensive solutions to customers.

Responsibilities

  • Lead all sales and account planning, forecasting, and reporting efforts for assigned accounts.
  • Understand, assess, and anticipate customers' objectives, strategies, and requirements to identify and pursue sales opportunities.
  • Complete pre-call planning activities for effective sales calls.
  • Acquire new customers to maximize growth.
  • Manage small accounts by engaging customer service or directing customers to online ordering.
  • Focus on strategic selling with mid and large size accounts, selling Myers' programs, systems, and solutions.
  • Follow up on escalated customer service issues, though not the primary contact for resolution.
  • Collaborate with Product Managers, Pricing & Inventory Analysts, and Customer Service Reps to present product demos and training.
  • Call on existing and potential customers to introduce, demonstrate, sell, and service Myers products.
  • Implement and achieve monthly and yearly sales plans.
  • Provide customer training on Myers product line.
  • Qualify potential customers.
  • Maintain expert level of knowledge of Myers products and competitive product lines.
  • Attend trade shows.
  • Complete expense reports and other administrative duties as assigned.
  • Provide field intelligence on competitive activity, market changes, and customer preferences.
  • Cost-effectively manage time and assets.
  • Maintain a professional presence and poise.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of outside sales experience with a successful sales history.
  • High school diploma; college graduate preferred.
  • Professional experience with B2B customers, including needs assessment and sales plan development.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable motor vehicle report and clean driving record.
  • Ability to travel frequently throughout the territory, including overnight travel.
  • Strong business acumen, teamwork, collaboration, accountability, tenacity, and communication skills.
  • Expert level knowledge in sales, negotiation, service, and passenger facilities processes.
  • Proficiency in CRM and Microsoft Office products.

Nice-to-haves

  • Established relationships with end users and distributors.
  • Experience with automotive-related accounts such as dealerships, fleets, and auto repair facilities.
  • Experience in developing new, innovative markets.
