About The Position

DACO Corporation, a leader in Warehouse and Material Handling solutions, is seeking an ambitious and driven Field Sales Specialist to manage sales strategy within a defined territory. The role is ideal for individuals who enjoy building relationships, problem-solving, and seeing tangible results. Experience in warehouse operations, distribution centers, logistics, or material handling is highly valued, offering a career transition opportunity for those with hands-on operational knowledge. While prior sales experience is not mandatory, a strong understanding of warehouse operations, equipment, workflows, safety, and customer challenges is beneficial. This position allows leveraging operational expertise to develop skills in sales, customer relations, and solution-based consulting.

Requirements

  • People-person with strong presentation and relationship-building skills.
  • Self-starter with excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Comfortable speaking with customers, presenting solutions, and tracking sales activity.
  • Strong communication, creative problem-solving, and technical learning ability.
  • Willingness to travel up to 75% of the time, primarily in Western Washington.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to lift 10 lbs. unaided.
  • Ability to sit for long periods of time.
  • Ability to type, bend and reach.
  • Ability to travel up to 75% of the time or when necessary to meet customer demands.
  • Ability to type on a keyboard, operate a computer mouse, and see a computer screen.
  • Ability to operate a phone and listen carefully to others on the phone.
  • Ability to drive and operate your own personal vehicle.
  • Maintain good standing with your driving record and pass a driving background check for insurance coverage.
  • Maintain personal vehicle insurance.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in a warehouse, distribution center, logistics operation, or material handling environment.
  • Prior sales experience.
  • Experience in B2B sales, industrial/commercial, or material handling sales, or a technical environment.
  • Background in industrial engineering or sales.
  • Experience in Industrial Warehouse design and system products associated with Material Handling.
  • Experience in B2B sales, industrial/commercial sales, material handling, warehousing, logistics, or a technical environment.
  • Experience working in warehouse operations, inventory management, shipping/receiving, distribution, or material handling equipment.
  • Background in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations, or Sales.

Responsibilities

  • Scout and develop new business opportunities in Western Washington and beyond.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with clients and internal teams.
  • Deliver product demonstrations and training.
  • Understand customer needs and provide tailored solutions.
  • Collaborate with Inside Sales, Subject Matter Experts, Engineering/Project Management, and other departments.
  • Travel within the region to connect with clients and solve problems.
