The Opportunity Userful is currently seeking a qualified Sales Engineer to join our Americas Sales Engineering division. The Sales Engineer, reporting to the Director of Sales Engineering, is responsible for managing the pre-sales process by partnering with Account Executives to identify, evaluate, demonstrate, and design customized architectures for enterprise clientele. As the technical expert on the sales team, this individual will focus on establishing substantive partnerships with prospective clients, existing customers, and strategic sales partners. Beyond spearheading the pre-sales lifecycle, the SE will oversee critical post-sales initiatives, ensuring the effective remote or on-site deployment and installation of the InfinityAI platform.

Requirements

  • Ability to work occasionally during evenings and weekends, and willingness to travel
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Comfortable delivering presentations to diverse audiences, including C-Suite leadership.
  • 5-10 years experience in a Pre-Sales Enterprise IT and/or AV Consulting role working with enterprise software solutions.
  • Working knowledge of commercial IT/AV Hardware and Systems, as well as BI, AI, and AVoIP technologies.
  • Strong ability to translate and communicate technical information to non-technical audiences.

Nice To Haves

  • Demonstrated expertise in LAN/WAN network infrastructures, LINUX operating systems, and server hardware.
  • College diploma or university degree in the field of information technology or computer science and/or 3-5 years equivalent work experience.
  • Experience successfully communicating with Operations and IT executives and technical staff.
  • Advanced knowledge of routing and switching, firewall & proxy architecture design.
  • In depth understanding of communication protocols (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, etc.)
  • Experience with large enterprise corporate IT, Pro-AV integration, or control-rooms are a plus.
  • CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+, CCNA, MCITP ,MCSA ,MCSE, CTS, ANP

Responsibilities

  • Conduct technical discovery calls and qualify prospects in alignment with Account Executives.
  • Investigate, analyze, and thoroughly understand the prospect's operational goals, technical needs, and business objectives.
  • Conduct engaging platform demonstrations and technical presentations to articulate the core features, value propositions, and differentiators of Userful’s software platform and technologies.
  • Remove technical roadblocks throughout the sales cycle and design robust, scalable solution architectures.
  • Create detailed scopes of work, architectural drawings, and as-built documents.
  • Strategize alongside Account Executives and write comprehensive technical proposals to drive sales pipeline and close opportunities.
  • Articulate all aspects of the InfinityAI platform and its differentiating features.
  • Install, deploy, and customize the InfinityAI platform for a variety of customers across both remote environments and on-site customer locations.
  • Train partners and enterprise customers on platform features, administration, and optimal usage.
  • Consult on and document ongoing customer requirements, proposing technical solutions to support sales continuity, and report customer feedback for continuous improvement of the product and customer experience.
  • Partner closely with internal support staff during critical technical escalations, prioritizing incoming issues and routing them to appropriate departments when necessary.
  • Evaluate documented resolutions and analyze technical trends to proactively prevent future deployment or platform issues.
