About The Position

Responsible for selling complex technological products or services to businesses. The Sales Engineer will serve customers by identifying their needs; engineering adaptations of products, equipment and service. Territory for this position includes central South Carolina to the coast. Candidates must reside in the area to be considered.

Effective sales competency
Technical aptitude with air compression and rotating equipment preferred
Knowledge of technical products, rotating equipment, air compression products and their applications
Knowledge of industrial distribution models or multi step distribution preferred
Advocates a safety-first attitude in all aspects of position
Proficient with Microsoft Office 365 software

Responsibilities

Actively drives sales and business development
Formulates strategies to grow sales revenue, market share and customer satisfaction in assigned territory
Serves as a liaison and advocate between the customer and the organization
Prepares and delivers technical presentations explaining products or services to customers and prospective customers
Confers with customers and engineers to assess equipment needs and to determine system requirements
Collaborates with sales teams to understand customer requirements and provide sales support
Secures and renews orders and arrange delivery
Plans and modifies products to meet customer needs
Helps clients solve problems with installed equipment
Recommends improved materials or machinery to customers, shows how changes will lower costs or increase production
Helps in researching and developing new products
Performs other related duties as assigned by management
