About The Position

Morris Group, Inc., a third-generation, family-owned business and one of North America's largest machine tool distributors, is seeking a CNC Capital Equipment Sales Engineer for its Technical Equipment division. Technical Equipment is a key distributor of advanced machine tools and related technology in Ohio, Indiana, Kentucky, Western Pennsylvania, and West Virginia, serving manufacturers of precision machined parts across various industries including aerospace, automotive, defense, electronics, energy, medical, and firearms. The company's mission is to help manufacturers maintain a competitive advantage by improving productivity through sophisticated automated machine tools and robotics automation. This role will focus on the Northern Ohio territory, selling Tsugami, Index, WIA, Murata, YCM, and Makino Horizontal, Vertical, and 5 Axis machines, as well as their Wire and Sinker EDMs.

Requirements

  • Strong passion for the sales process from discovery to closing stages.
  • Strong technical background in tool, die and production machining using innovative CNC machines.
  • Strong, professional communication and presentation skills.
  • Basic technical capability.
  • Occasional overnight travel throughout the entire territory is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience with Industrial sales background is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for full-cycle sales activity in the Northern Ohio territory.
  • Work with internal support departments and suppliers to provide various manufacturing solutions.
  • Develop new and strengthen existing relationships with customers, prospects, and suppliers.
  • Generate opportunities for quotation by providing continuous support and recommendations to new and existing customers.
  • Lead projects, demonstrations, and other customer related events to ensure timely completion and efficient prioritization of resources.
  • Prepare and present machine solutions for customer specific applications.
  • Enter activity into the CRM system (Salesforce.com).
  • Develop an in-depth knowledge of the machine tool industry and product lines represented by the company.
  • Perform related duties as required.
