About the position

The Sales Director for Aerospace and Defense at Tower Semiconductor is a pivotal role that serves as the primary liaison between the company and its customers. This position is designed for an individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about driving growth in the high-tech manufacturing industry, particularly within the semiconductor sector. The Sales Director will be responsible for managing and nurturing the corporate relationships with customers, ensuring that both Tower Semiconductor and its clients achieve mutual success through effective communication and collaboration. In this role, the Sales Director will oversee the operational execution of customer accounts, ensuring that all activities align with the company's strategic objectives. This includes managing the account team, which consists of various resources such as Account Managers and logistics support, to ensure that customer needs are met efficiently. The Sales Director will also be responsible for maintaining high customer satisfaction levels by monitoring customer report card scores and proactively addressing any issues that may arise in logistics, operations, or technology. The Sales Director will play a crucial role in defining and executing the sales strategy in alignment with the company's business units. This involves understanding market trends within the semiconductor industry, identifying growth opportunities, and ensuring that all new initiatives are properly reviewed and resourced. The position requires a strong analytical mindset to interpret data and make informed decisions that drive revenue growth and margin improvement. Additionally, the Sales Director will be expected to achieve quarterly and annual revenue targets, making this a results-driven role that demands a high level of accountability and performance.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact between Tower Semiconductor and its customers, managing all aspects of the corporate relationship.
  • Ensure alignment and execution of roadmaps between Business Units and customers to drive mutual value.
  • Oversee operational execution through close alignment with account managers and customer logistics support.
  • Manage customer report card scores to ensure quality in all aspects of customer support.
  • Co-own the pricing roadmap in alignment with internal business units.
  • Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and manage any breaches or conflicts.
  • Understand Total Addressable Market (TAM), Serviceable Available Market (SAM), and Serviceable Obtainable Market (SOM) for specific customers and drive initiatives to grow SOM at target margins.
  • Achieve quarterly and annual revenue targets.
  • Identify and maximize growth opportunities with potential and existing customers.
  • Lead the account team, coordinating resources within the company to support customer needs.
  • Align with Business Units on customer value propositions and drive additional R&D activities as needed.
  • Define and implement a clear sales strategy in alignment with corporate objectives and targets.

Requirements

  • Minimum bachelor's degree in engineering, Business, or a related field.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in sales or key account management within the semiconductor industry or a similar field, with foundry sales experience preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret data and draw conclusions.
  • Technical understanding of semiconductor devices and manufacturing is strongly preferred.
  • Highly developed negotiation skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to interact with a diverse audience.
  • Strong communication skills, organized, detail-oriented, resourceful, and creative.
