Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary guest contact for group meeting planners.
  • Represent the hotel in the community and hospitality industry.
  • Take direct responsibility for event planning of all function spaces.
  • Collaborate with the Sales Manager, Conference Center Manager, and other staff for accurate event presentations.
  • Engage in multiple activities and projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Handle contracts, cancellations, and lost business reports related to events.
  • Communicate with caterers regarding guest requests and food quality.
  • Perform inside sales duties including proposals and rooming lists.
  • Participate in Yield Management with the sales team.
  • Achieve sales goals set in the annual budget and marketing plan.
  • Assist in writing the Annual Marketing Plan and monitor results.
  • Develop and enhance relationships with meeting planners.
  • Train and motivate employees as needed.
  • Provide proper billing guidelines and follow up with clients for feedback.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in hospitality sales is preferred.
  • Proficiency in computer programs and hotel management software.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Nice-to-haves

  • College degree in related areas preferred.
  • Experience in developing sales strategies and setting goals.
