About the position

The Sales Associate at Grapes & Grains is responsible for providing excellent customer service, handling transactions, and contributing to the overall success of the store. This role involves operating the cash register, assisting customers with product knowledge, and maintaining a well-presented store environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate cash register and handle cash transactions with customers
• Scan goods and collect payments
• Issue receipts, change, or tickets
• Maintain a clean and tidy checkout area
• Stock shelves/displays and ensure the store is well-presented
• Provide assistance and product demos to customers
• Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues promptly
• Contribute to the sales culture of our business
• Provide recommendations to our customers

Requirements

• Experience in sales and customer service
• Proficient in basic math and retail math concepts
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a medium to fast-paced environment
• Bilingual proficiency is a plus
• Familiarity with upscale spirits store operations is advantageous
• Knowledge of products such as beer, wine, and spirits
• Excellent phone etiquette
• Experience in beer, wine, and spirits sales (Preferred)
