About the position

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Sales Associate to join our dynamic retail team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for customer service and a strong ability to communicate effectively with customers. As a Sales Associate, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the shopping experience by assisting customers, managing inventory, and driving sales through upselling techniques.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers and assisting them with their needs.
• Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently for processing transactions.
• Maintain knowledge of current promotions and product features to effectively upsell items.
• Assist in stocking shelves and organizing merchandise to ensure an appealing store layout.
• Perform cash handling duties accurately, including processing returns and exchanges.
• Utilize basic math skills to manage transactions and provide change when necessary.
• Collaborate with team members to meet sales goals and enhance overall store performance.
• Address customer inquiries and resolve any issues in a professional manner.

Requirements

• Previous experience in retail sales or customer service is preferred but not required.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers effectively.
• Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and understanding retail math principles.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
• A positive attitude, willingness to learn, and a commitment to providing excellent customer service.

Nice-to-haves

• Familiarity with POS systems is a plus, but training will be provided.
