About the position

The Sales Associate position at the Sioux City Explorers is an entry-level role focused on ticket sales for the baseball team. The individual will be responsible for actively prospecting and selling season tickets, flex packs, and group/hospitality packages while contributing to the overall growth of the Explorers brand. This role is ideal for someone passionate about sports and eager to make an impact in the industry.

Responsibilities

  • Sell new season tickets, mini plans, and group ticket packages through cold-calls and face-to-face meetings.
  • Focus sales efforts on selling directly to local businesses.
  • Prospect new customers and qualify leads.
  • Fulfill and maintain an assigned standard in personal sales efforts.
  • Provide superior customer service to new and existing accounts.
  • Use creativity to develop new ways to boost attendance for the team.
  • Complete daily and weekly sales effort reports.
  • Represent the team in a professional manner throughout the community.
  • Assist with other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • College degree (or equivalent work experience).
  • 1 year of sales experience in event sales or equivalent.
  • Desire to learn and grow a career in the sports industry.
  • Experience and a desire to excel in sales.
  • Ability to work with aggressive sales goals and expectations in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to maintain a professional business image.
