About the position

The Sales Associate at Rack Room Shoes is responsible for providing excellent customer service, meeting sales goals, and maintaining store presentation standards. This role involves processing sales transactions accurately, promoting company initiatives, and ensuring a positive shopping experience for customers. The Sales Associate will also assist in inventory management and maintain cleanliness and organization within the store.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to and practice the company's service standards with each customer.
• Meet sales and work goals as directed by store management.
• Lead team members by example in accuracy and completeness of work.
• Create an excellent shopping experience for customers through awareness of service standards.
• Promote the company rewards program and other business initiatives.
• Maintain awareness of current sales promotions and merchandise presentation.
• Ensure stock is well arranged and merchandised properly.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of all areas within the store.
• Develop and maintain necessary product knowledge and fitting skills.
• Participate in physical inventories and assist in shipping and receiving merchandise.

Requirements

• Experience in retail sales, preferably in specialty retail or footwear.
• Basic communication (verbal and non-verbal), organization, and math skills.
• Basic knowledge of company policies and procedures.
• Basic visual merchandising skills and understanding of Store Presentation Standards.
