About the position

The Sales Associate at Target Optical is responsible for creating an outstanding optical experience for guests by combining their knowledge and personality with the needs of customers and the high-quality fashion brands offered. This role involves building customer relationships, assisting with frame selection, and ensuring a positive store environment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver sales plan and company objectives by cultivating existing customer relationships and building new ones.
• Utilize optical prescriptions to recommend specific lenses and lens coatings.
• Assist patients in selecting frames and coordinate frames with optical measurements.
• Conduct measurements using appropriate optical tools and consult with Optician as needed.
• Participate actively in fostering a positive store environment and build strong relationships with peers, management, and support staff.
• Maintain the appearance of the store by keeping displays and inventory clean, attractive, and organized.
• Foster an inclusive culture by treating customers and colleagues with respect.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• 1+ years experience in retail or customer service
• Familiarity with point of sale systems, computers, and calculators with basic phone and math skills
• Ability to embrace new technology and change with a high level of accuracy
• Strong sales skills and accountability for sales results with a desire to meet goals
• Strong communication skills (both oral and written)
• Self-motivated with the ability to multi-task and respond flexibly in a quickly changing environment.
